About Me
Hello, and thank you for visiting my campaign website! I’m Nicole Yarbrough, a proud Texan, devoted mother, and longtime community advocate. For the past 17 years, I’ve called the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District (CFBISD) home, and I’m running for the Board of Trustees because I believe our district needs fiscally responsible leadership, real transparency, and a stronger commitment to student success.
As a mother of two children, one who attended CFBISD, I’ve experienced firsthand the impact a great education can have on a child’s future. My background as a Texas Escrow Officer and Licensed Realtor has given me a deep understanding of financial responsibility and how strong schools shape thriving neighborhoods.
Beyond my professional work, I am passionate about giving back to our community. I have served on the Dan F. Long Middle School Band Board of Directors, was an active PTA member at Furneaux Elementary, and have volunteered in meal programs and donation drives for senior citizens. I believe that a strong school district and a strong community go hand in hand.
Right now, CFBISD is at a crossroads. The district has been running a budget deficit for three years while continuing to spend without a real plan. Schools are being closed, high-achieving programs are being cut, and parents are left out of the conversation. We need new leadership that prioritizes smart, student-focused decision-making.
As your trustee, I will fight to:
- Advocate for student success by strengthening and expanding academic programs, not cutting them.
- Increase transparency and community engagement because parents and taxpayers deserve a seat at the table.
- Fight against wasteful spending to ensure resources go where they matter most—our students and teachers.
The decisions made today will shape the future of our students and our community. I’m ready to bring accountability, vision, and leadership to the CFBISD Board of Trustees—but I need your help!
Donate today to help us reach more voters and spread our message.
Vote Nicole Yarbrough for CFBISD School Board Trustee on May 3rd!
Together, we can build a stronger future for our schools. Thank you for your support!
